Loki’s eyes followed Diosysus’ as he moved around the bathroom, from the shower to the sink. His hair was down, clean and unstyled from the shower. Loki worked his way through his hair, brushing through the long, loose strands with his fingers as he watched him wash his face. After how long Dionysus had spent washing himself in the shower he hadn’t expected there to be even more to clean.
“You’ve got a lot of steps getting ready for bed.”
Dionysus’ chuckle was light as he rubbed the cleansing foam into his skin, fine bubbles moving underneath his fingertips. “It makes me feel nice,” he said, opening an eye to look at him. “You can borrow some, if you want.”
“Nah, I’m fine.”
Loki ran his fingers along the soft, fluffy robe Dionysus had lent him, feeling the texture against his fingers. He heard the sound of running water, the splashing of Dionysus washing the foam off his face. The silence as the knob was turned and the water stopped flowing.
Fingers ran through his hair, making him look up, meeting Dionysus’ eyes. They were soft and warm as they looked at him. Dionysus raised a hand, pressing the fiery red of Loki’s hair to his lips. He couldn’t help the pleasant heat inside his chest.
“Want me to help you braid your hair?”
After a moment of consideration, Loki dropped his hair tie into Dionysus’ hand. “Sure.”
As he turned around so Dionysus could braid his hair, he felt the warmth in the centre of his chest spread throughout his entire body, all the way to the tips of his fingers.
